A day to discover logistics careers
Logistics is often perceived as a male-dominated, physical sector that is not very accessible to women. At SYNVIA, we believe the opposite… and we wanted to show it concretely.
An immersive day at the heart of our warehouses
In partnership with the employment agency Id’ees, specializing in professional integration, we welcomed a group of women on a reintegration path for a day to discover our professions.
On the agenda: a tour of our facilities, direct discussions with field teams, and a presentation of the different positions available in our supply chain. The goal was simple: to overcome stereotypes.
The participants were able to discover from the inside what the daily reality of a logistics warehouse concretely entails: inventory management, order picking, flow coordination… All these are professions that are actively recruiting and offer real career advancement opportunities.
“Showing that logistics careers are varied, accessible, and full of future prospects for everyone – that is the meaning of this initiative.”
Women in logistics: figures that call for action
The logistics sector in France represents a considerable employment pool. And yet, women remain largely underrepresented.
- 1.8 million jobs in the sector
- 5th largest recruiting sector in France
- Only 19% of female employees

These numbers are not inevitable. They are an opportunity. Every day like this one is a step towards a more inclusive, more representative—and better performing—sector.
Diversity and inclusion: a strategic issue
Beyond the symbolism, the inclusion of women in logistics professions addresses a concrete challenge: recruitment. In a sector experiencing labor shortages, expanding the available talent pool is a necessity.
Initiatives like the one carried out with Id’ees help build bridges between women seeking employment or career changes and companies that are hiring. It is a win-win for everyone.
